PANCAKE BREAKFAST TO BE SERVED SUNDAY IN MINOT CHURCH Knights of Columbus Council 9906 will serve a pancake, country-style sausage and scrambled eggs breakfast Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the lower level of St. Leo’s Catholic Church, 218-1st St. SE, Minot.

A freewill offering will be received. Proceeds will be used to support religious vocations.

FIRST BAPTIST XYZ TO MEET THURSDAY ?First Baptist Church XYZ, a senior adult ministry for people in the 50-plus age group, will meet Thursday at 2 p.m. in First Baptist Church, 200-3rd St. SW.

Oren Miller, of Minot, will present the program “Israel with a Side Look at Agriculture.”

Refreshments will be served.

LIGHTHOUSE CHURCH TO HOST GUEST SPEAKER JAN. 26 The Rev. Mel Erickson, of Minot, will be speaking Jan. 26 at 10:30 a.m. in Lighthouse Church, 1400-5th Ave. SW.

Erickson is special projects coordinator for Intercultural Ministries for U.S. Missions of the Assemblies of God. He works with pastors of Native American churches across the nation.

He was director for North Dakota Native American Ministries for 15 years and has coordinated the building of 20 new church buildings since 1994 on reservations in North Dakota, Montana, Minnesota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, New Mexico, Washington and Oklahoma.

Erickson and his wife, Corliss, ministered as missionary pastors on the Fort Totten Indian Reservation with the Spirit Lake Sioux Tribe in North Dakota for 20 years.

DATE SET FOR WOMEN’S RETREAT IN MINOT CHURCH Faith United Methodist Church will host a women’s retreat Jan. 25 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the church at 5900 U.S. Highway 83 N., Minot. The theme of the retreat will be “The Blessings of Being a Christian Woman.”

The Rev. Theta Wagner Miller will be the featured speaker. The event will include special music and afternoon of inspiration and pampering.

The $10 registration fee will include lunch from Prairie Bistro/Sonja’s Old Fashioned Delicacies.

DELPH TO LEAD SEMINAR, WORKSHOPS IN MINOT A “Called2Business Seminar” will be held Feb. 8 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Monte Carlo Room at the Vegas Motel, Minot. Guest speaker for the seminar will be Ed Delph.

Delph, who believes in community transformation, has pastored for several years, authored five books and is a weekly columnist in several newspapers. He has presented seminars in more than 90 countries. More information about Delph can be found at (www.nationstrategy.com).

Three workshops will be presented: Recognition in the Marketplace, The Return of the Kings to Effect Change and Leadershift in the Marketplace.
