Mark King, 59, Kenmare, died Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at the Kenmare hospital from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
Mark Cameron King was born April 7, 1954, a son of Gerald and Florence (Nelson) King in Kenmare. He was raised and educated in southern California. Following his graduation, Mark furthered his education by attending college in Riverside, Calif., specializing in HVAC.
In 1975, Mark was united in marriage to Suzette Blair in San Bernardino, Calif. To this union two children were born: Jeremiah Cameron and Melody Alice. The couple divorced in 1996, following 19 years of marriage. Mark then returned to Kenmare.
Mark was united in marriage to Julie Johnson on Oct. 20, 2000, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Minot. They made their home in Kenmare, where they raised their two children: Katherine Ramona and Emily Ruth. Mark worked for Choice Hotels, MTI and later started and was owner /operator of Mark King Plumbing Company.
Mark was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Minot. Mark was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church, of Tolley, and attended St. Agnes Catholic Church in Kenmare with his family.
Mark is survived by: wife, Julie; children: Jeremiah (Courtney) King, Melody King, Katherine King and Emily King; five grandchildren: Madyson, McKenzie, Kaidance, George and Brynnlee; mother: Florence King; siblings: David (Betty) King, Dawn-Joy King; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mark was preceded in death by: his father, Gerald “Jerry” King; sister, Sandra King; and his grandparents.
Funeral Service: Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 11 a.m., at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Minot.
Burial: Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Kenmare.
Visitation: Tuesday, Jan. 21, one hour prior to the service at the church.
