MOHALL Carol Jean Resch, 65, Mohall, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at a Mohall nursing home.
She was born March 18, 1948, in Minot, a daughter of Joe and Donna (Miller) Randash. She was raised in Mohall and attended school in Mohall.
Carol was once married to Thomas Pruitt. To this union, a son, Tom, was born. They lived in Minot and later in Alabama. She returned to Mohall and worked as a hostess at the Mohall American Legion Club.
Carol was united in marriage to John Resch in October of 1972. They lived in the Tolley area and had three children, Mike, Angie and Katie. Carol worked as a bartender at Wayne’s Bar in Kenmare and at Wes’s Bar in Tolley. They moved to Sherwood in 1986, where she started a daycare in 1988. She retired in 2001 and entered the Good Samaritan Society, Mohall, in October of 2005. John died in December of 1995.
Carol was active in the Catholic Church. She followed all of the activities that her children and grandchildren were involved in. She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, card games, crocheting and knitting. She loved decorating for all holidays, especially Christmas.
Family: children, Thomas (Pam) Pruitt, Norwich, Michael Resch, Sherwood, Angela (Scott) Thompson, Bison, S.D., and Kathryn Glasser, Bismarck; grandchildren, Sarah, Michael and Nicholas Pruitt, and Taylor, Abigayle and Whitney Thompson; great-grandchild, Sophia Gust; brothers, Dale (Sherry Neubauer) Randash, Mohall, Mark (Diane) Randash, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Leslie (Shelly) Randash, Minot; sister, Joetta (Don Broden) Williams, Mohall; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Resch; brother, John Randash; and granddaughter, Myranda Thompson.
Funeral: Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at 11 a.m., at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Mohall.
Burial: Mohall Community Cemetery, Mohall, in the spring.
Rosary: Today, Jan. 23, at 7 p.m., at the church.
Visitation: Today, noon to 5 p.m., at Brose Funeral Home, Mohall.
