DATE SET FOR ROAST BEEF DINNER IN MINOT CHURCH ?Our Lady of Grace Council 4894 Knights of Columbus, assisted by parish youth and Confirmation students, will serve a roast beef dinner on Feb. 2 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the church dining room on the lower level of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 707-16th Ave. SW.
The cost will be $10 for people age 13 and over and $5 for youth ages 4 to 12. There will be no charge for children age 3 and under. Take-home meals will be available for $10 each.
Bishop Ryan Catholic School in Minot is the beneficiary of the proceeds.
BISMARCK DIOCESE TO HOST MOTHER-DAUGHTER EVENT The Diocese of Bismarck Office of Family Ministry will host the 13th annual Mother-Daughter Breakfast Celebration at the Ramada in Bismarck from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 8.
The featured speaker will be Anita Gutschick, an accomplished playwright, actress and president/CEO of “Women of the Bible,” a sketch performance company built on character sketches of women in the Bible.
This event is open to women of all ages. Attendees are encouraged to wear a favorite hat.
Cost of the event is $10 per person. Seating is limited. Preregistration must be made by Feb. 5.

HEIFER INTERNATIONAL FUNDRAISER SCHEDULED The Congregational United Church of Christ will host its annual fund-raising dinner for Heifer International on Friday from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in the church at 430 N. Broadway.
A complete roast beef dinner will be served.
There will be no charge for the meal; instead people will be asked to make a donation to Heifer International.
Reservations are not required to attend.
RHUBARB FESTIVAL TO BE HELD WEDNESDAY The seventh annual Rhubarb Fest at Bethany Lutheran Church, 215-3rd Ave. SE, will be Wednesday, starting at 5:30 p.m., in the church fellowship hall.
The event, which is open to the public, includes a roast pork supper, a rhubarb bake-off and entertainment, including the Rhubarb Flute Choir.
Proceeds of the freewill offering will go to the Western North Dakota Synod Mission Trust Fund.
LIGHTHOUSE CHURCH TO HOST GUEST SPEAKER The Rev. Mel Erickson, of Minot, will be speaking Jan. 26 at 10:30 a.m. in Lighthouse Church, 1400-5th St. SW.
Erickson is special projects coordinator for Intercultural Ministries for U.S. Missions of the Assemblies of God. He works with pastors of Native American churches across the nation.
Erickson and his wife, Corliss, ministered as missionary pastors on the Fort Totten Indian Reservation with the Spirit Lake Sioux Tribe in North Dakota for 20 years.

FOUNDER OF GLOBAL 365 PRAYER NETWORK TO SPEAK IN MINOT SUNDAY Saeed and Cynthia Hosseini, of Phoenix, Ariz., will be guest speakers during worship services Sunday in First Assembly of God, 1805-2nd St. SE. Service times are 8:30 and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Saeed Hosseini is the founder of the Global 365 Prayer Network. His passion is to help people achieve greater intimacy with God through prayer, fasting and hearing the voice of God to fulfill their destiny.
THIRD OPTION SESSIONS TO BE HELD IN BISMARCK The Third Option, a national program that helps couples who are discouraged about their marriage learn to handle anger more constructively, resolve conflicts and communicate more effectively is scheduled in Bismarck.
Sessions will begin Feb. 11 and will be held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 7 to 9 p.m. Each session will cover a different topic for building relationships and includes presentations from qualified family counselors and mentor couples.
The Third Option is free of charge and any couple or single individual is welcome to attend.
The program is non-denominational and is sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Bismarck’s Office of Family Ministry.
