Mountrail County dealing with extraditions
STANLEY Mountrail County Sheriff Ken Halvorson announced Friday that his office has been dealing with many out-of-state offenders lately. Two offenders have been picked up on warrants and have been extradited to the jurisdictions where they allegedly offended.
Tyler Joseph Bentler, of Anoka County, Minn., was arrested on an outstanding warrant from that county for failure to register as a sex offender. He waived an extradition hearing in North Central District Court and was picked up by authorities from there.
Michael Robert Beasley, Logan, Utah, was arrested Jan. 15 on an outstanding warrant from Cache, Utah, for felony distribution of a controlled substance. He also waived his extradition hearing and was released to Utah authorities.
Brad Douglas Johnson, Laurel, Mont., was arrested by the Sheriff’s Department and the U.S. Marshal’s Service in New Town on Jan. 17 on an outstanding warrant from Yellowstone County, Mont., for two counts of alleged sexual conduct with a minor. Johnson posted $50,000 cash bond and was released from jail before Montana authorities were able to get him.
