Tracks reopen at derailment site
ROSS The tracks reopened Friday morning where several cars of a BNSF train loaded with grain derailed Thursday afternoon near Ross, said a BNSF spokeswoman.
Amy McBeth, of Minneapolis, public relations director for the region, said the tracks were reopened about 11 a.m. Friday.
Eleven cars of the 109-car loaded grain train derailed, McBeth said. She said the train was westbound for Washington state. The incident happened Thursday afternoon.
She said there were no injuries and the cause of the derailment is still under investigation.
Ross is about 9 miles west of Stanley in Mountrail County.
