Ryan boys ease past Sioux

WESTHOPE -Bishop Ryan senior Brody Bosch tallied 28 points to offset the 30 scored by Westhope-Newburg’s Hunter Braaten, and the Lions downed the Sioux 62-45 on Monday night.

Bosch, a 5-foot-10 guard, finished with six points more than his average (21.5) in helping Ryan (12-4) notch its fourth straight win and eighth in nine games.

The Lions led 21-10 after one quarter and held a double-digit advantage at the end of each frame. Junior forward Jared Will added 16 points for Ryan, which hosts Our Redeemer’s tonight.

Braaten, a Minnesota State-Moorhead football recruit, was the lone W-N scorer in double figures. The Sioux, who host Rolette-Wolford on Thursday, fell to 12-5.
