CHRISTIAN WOMEN’S CLUB LUNCHEON SET FOR TUESDAY The Minot Christian Women’s Club will meet at a “For God So Loved…” luncheon Tuesday from 12:15 to 2 p.m. at the Grand Hotel in Minot. The cost is $11, and the luncheon is open to all Minot area women.

Dena Filler, executive director of the Domestic Violence Crisis Center in Minot, will talk about how the center works to meet the needs in the community and will give ideas about how women can help the center.

Music will be provided by “The Singspirations,” a choir from The Wellington in Minot. Mary Roelofe, Princeton Minn., will discuss her passion for helping women in her talk, “No Matter What.”

EDUCATION EVENT FOR ROSTERED, LAY MEMBERS OF ELCA SCHEDULED IN BISMARCK The Western North Dakota Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and the WND Synod GIFTS Committee will host “Change the Church Lutheran Theology,” an education event for rostered and lay members of ELCA congregations, on Feb. 15 in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Bismarck.

The Rev. Anna Madsen, a freelance theologian from Sioux Falls, S.D., will be the speaker. She is the founder of OMG: Center for Theological Conversation. The center provides a place for individuals and groups, laity and clergy, to come for questions, conversation, and study.

Registration is at 8:30 a.m. The event begins at 9 a.m. and will conclude by 3 p.m. Registration is $10 and includes lunch. Attendees should bring their Bible.
