Dr. James Conant
WILLISTON Dr. James Conant, 72, Cloquet, Minn., formerly of Williston, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, in Cloquet.
He was born Nov. 12, 1941, to Harry W. and Lucille Conant, in Wausau, Wis. He served with the Army, one year at Fort Hood in Washington and one year in Korea, until his discharge. He was once married to Nancy Elliot, whom he married Dec. 26, 1964, in Detroit. He was later once married to Mary Chartier, whom he married July 1, 1989.
Survivors: companion, Mary Chartier, Cloquet, Minn.; son, Robert, Lompoc, Calif.; sisters, Lucy Griffiths, Mattawan, Mich., Mary Mosqueda, Duluth, Minn.; and brother, Harry A., East Lansing, Mich.
Memorial service: Monday, 2 p.m., St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Williston.
People may sign the memorial register Monday, one hour prior to the service, in the church.
A service will take place later in the spring in Duluth.
