Karson Welstad

Our sweet boy, Karson Michael Welstad, passed away peacefully in his parent’s arms Feb. 17, 2014.

Karson Michael was born Dec. 31, 2013, in Rochester, Minn. During his 48 amazing days, he touched many lives and was deeply loved by many.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at Corpus Christi Church, Bismarck, with Rev. Paul Becker officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bismarck.

Karson had the brightest eyes, quietest cry, sweetest smile, and the most touching hold. Karson’s parents and siblings spent every day of his life loving him. He showed us so much strength in his little time, but there is one place more special than anywhere, heaven, and that is where he will be.

He is survived by: his parents, Nathan and Kari, brother Kaden and sister Kaylie; grandparents, Mike and Pam Wilcox, of Douglas, Jane Welstad, of Minot, Blaine and Marlene Welstad, of Newburg; his great-grandparents, Sherman Welstad, of Minot, Jim and Irene Wilcox, of Garrison; his aunts and uncles, Jon Wilcox, of Douglas, Joel and Molly Welstad, of Minot, Jess and Tanya Welstad, of Glenburn; and his cousins, Kinzy, Macy, Trey, Tiara and Teagan.

He is greeted in heaven by great-grandparents, Ray and Runa Long, Violet Welstad, Lawrence and Emma Lies; and his aunt, Susan Kay Wilcox.

Sometimes it’s the smallest things that take up the most room in our hearts. We love you so much Karson Michael.
