Hearing continued for man with 7 felonies
A pretrial conference for Richard Wayne Colvin, 32, Williston, was continued from its set date on Wednesday to a later date.
A prosecutor with the Ward County State’s Attorney’s office cited the fact that a transfer order was not in place in time to have Colvin transfered to Minot for his hearing as the reason for the continuance.
Colvin was charged with seven felonies and three misdemeanors on Nov. 6. The charges stem from him allegedly being caught driving a stolen truck.
Possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, a Class A felony, is his most severe charge. The remaining six felony charges are Class C felonies, with four more drug related and the others for theft of property (posession) and prohibited possession of a firearm.
The three misdemeanor charges are carrying a concealed firearm or weapon, possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) by a driver and false reports to law enforcement or other security officials.
