Bertha Christine Wagner of Olympia, Wash., age 101, passed away on February 14, 2014.
She was born Jan. 27, 1913, to Conrad and Christina Finkbeiner of Max. She was baptized and confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church in Max. She graduated from Max High School in 1932 and married Rudolph Wagner on Aug. 27, 1934. They farmed together in the Max area until 1968 when they moved to Lacey, Wash. She operated a day care for 30 years. Rudolph died in 1995.
She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Olympia.
Bertha is survived by five sons: Wallace (Annemarie), Tacoma, Wash., Weldon (Eunice), of McClusky, Virgil (Mary), Olympia, Arden (Sande), Washburn, and Kermit, Puyallup, Wash.; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Rudolph; her sister, Elsie; a brother, Reuben; her son, Keith; and a daughter-in-law, Gayle.
