Routine traffic stop reveals active warrant for arrest
A Minot man was arrested on a warrant during a routine traffic stop on Saturday, according to the Minot Police Department.
Police reported that an officer with the department stopped a vehicle after observing that the registration had expired. During the contact at the traffic stop, which took place on the 200 block of East Burdick Expressway around 12:30 p.m., the officer determined an active warrant from the state of Michigan existed for a passenger identified as Jeffrey Allen Wilder, 41, of Minot.
The warrant was a no-bond felony warrant for Wilder’s arrest on an alleged $99,165 in unpaid child support. Wilder was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Ward County Jail.
