Local man running for?N.D. U.S. House seat
DuWayne Hendrickson of Minot has announced he will seek the Republican endorsement for North Dakota’s U.S. House seat.
He had sought the party endorsement for the House in 2010 and 2012, later running as a write-in candidate. Hendrickson had sought the party’s endorsement for governor in 2008, when he ran as an independent. He also has run for Ward County Commission.
In an email announcement of his candidacy, Hendrickson identified government spending, energy policy, educational curriculums and health care reform as issues that need to be addressed in Congress.
The Republican convention will be held April 4-6 in Minot.
The only other formally announced candidate for the U.S. House is Fargo businessman Jack Seaman, who is running as a Libertarian.
