Bishop Ryan cheerleaders place 1st at state
On Saturday, the Bishop Ryan cheerleading team won the Class B state cheerleading competition at Bismarck High School.
The Lions edged out four other teams for the title and senior Meagan Behm claimed top honors in the jump-off.
Minot High placed fifth in the Class A competition out of five teams. Minot amassed the most points, but suffered 35 points of deductions.
J’Kobe Wallace won the Class A jump-off and also participated in the winning stunt group. His teammates in that group were Jessica Bullard, Abby Howard, Emily Stauffer and Kourtney Wehrman.
Howard tied with Dan Heiden of Bismarck for first place in the all-around competition.
Bullard won the Senior Honor Award.
