Patricia Rynestad, 80, Burlington, formerly of East Grand Forks, Minn., passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014, in a Minot hospital.
Patricia Louise Hill was born Feb. 28, 1934, the daughter of Orville and Madonna (Dixon) Hill, in East Grand Forks. She was raised and educated in East Grand Forks, graduating from Sacred Heart Catholic School in 1952.
Pat married Lloyd T. Rynestad April 17, 1954, in East Grand Forks. They made their home in East Grand Forks where they resided until moving to Minot in 1961. They later moved to Burlington in 1966, where she worked at Dakota Boys Ranch for 32 years. She retired in December 2000. In 2011, they moved to Minot and resided at Somerset Court. Lloyd passed away March 22, 2012.
Following her husband’s death, she continued to reside at Somerset Court.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and mother-in-law, who enjoyed watching old movies and Wheel of Fortune, listening to old country music, sweets, reading tabloids, dancing, shopping and collecting Coke products. She was known for her wonderful sense of humor.
Patricia will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.

Her loving family includes: children, Vicki (Rob) Reiner, Burlington, Kerry (Ron) Stafford, Minot, Dirk (Jeana) Rynestad, Burlington, and Todd (Rene’) Rynestad, Catlett, Va.; and a grandson she helped raise as her son, Travis (Shirly) Rynestad, Burlington; grandchildren, Ryan Stafford, Amanda (Cody) Muscha, Britta Rynestad (Silas Sneed) and Logan Rynestad, and Basil, Sadie and Caden Rynestad; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Jersey Rynestad, Katrina, Teverell and Trisha Billadeau, Ryder Stafford and Maddox Sneed; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pat was preceded in death by: her parents; husband of 57 years, Lloyd; sister, Jeri Hortian; brothers, Ronald and Richard Hill.
Memorial Service: Monday, March 31, at 10:30 a.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment: Burlington Township Cemetery, Burlington, at a later date.
Visitation: There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign the register book on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
