Lewis and Clark voters pass both measures

Voters in the Lewis and Clark school district decided favorably Tuesday on two measures, which included a $15 million dollar bond issue that would fund a new high school in Plaza and a renovation plus addition to the high school in Berthold.

Unofficial results after the polls closed figured a 524 to 238 vote count on this first measure. The second, which would raise the district’s debt ceiling by five percent, was passed by 504 votes to 258.

The cost to taxpayers was estimated at an additional $225 per year for the owner of a $100,000 home.
