WSC group to host Easter egg hunt
WILLISTON – The Williston State College chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society will host an Easter egg hunt for area children on Thursday, April 17. Families are invited to the main drive of the campus from 3 to 5 p.m. to search for colorful eggs packed with treats, with possible appearances by the Easter Bunny.
Phi Theta Kappa is an international honor society that “encourages scholarship among two-year college students.” Students in PTK are encouraged to take on leadership roles in creating events for the community to enjoy. One of these students, D.J. Weismann, is organizing the upcoming Easter egg hunt.
“We want to have a fun Easter event for the younger ones in the community,” he said. Weismann is an honor student at WSC who will be transferring to Valley City State University this coming fall.
