Jeff A. Bloms, 42, Minot, formerly of Glenburn, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Trinity Homes in Minot.
Jeffrey Allen Bloms was born July 29, 1971, the son of Richard and Sandra (Hansen) Bloms, in Minot. He was raised and educated in Glenburn and attended Glenburn High School. As a young adult, Jeff assisted his parents with the operation of the family farm. He loved farming and raising cattle.
He then worked at a sport shop in Kenmare for a time and later at Central Machining and Pump in Minot until January 1999, when he was involved in a snowmobile accident.
Following the accident, Jeff resided at Accessible Space in Minot, where he made of lot of friends and resided for several years, with his little dog, Foxy.
He enjoyed watching NASCAR and collecting Earnhardt memorabilia, model Corvettes and model race cars. He also enjoyed welding, shop work, customizing Chevy trucks, hunting and fishing.
Surviving family includes: parents, Richard and Sandra, Glenburn; brothers, Mitch Bloms, Bismarck, and Brian Bloms, Glenburn; nephew, Ryder Bloms; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jeff is preceded in death by: his brother, Richie Bloms; maternal grandparents, Haven and Ardyce Hansen, and paternal grandparents, Alex and Clara Bloms.
Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, April 15, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.
Interment: Tuesday, 1 p.m., at St. Philomena’s Catholic Cemetery, Glenburn.
Visitation: Monday, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
Vigil Prayer Service: Monday, 7 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
