O’Keefe shoots 75 in final round Wednesday
EUREKA, Mo. – Minot State junior Kowan O’Keefe finished the NCAA Division II Midwest/Central Regional men’s golf tournament with a final round 3-over 75 on Wednesday at Fox Run Golf Course.
O’Keefe finished tied for 44th, finishing in the top 50 for the second straight season. He placed 47th in last year’s event.
O’Keefe carded two birdies, three bogeys and a double bogey in his final round as a junior. He finished the tournament five over on the front nine and nine over on the back nine.
Nebraska-Kearney’s Michael Colgate won the individual title, shooting a 4-under 212 in three rounds. He bested Central Oklahoma’s Eric Kline by three strokes. Colgate and Southeastern Oklahoma State’s Marcos Sevilla advanced to the NCAA National Champions along with Malone University, Central Missouri, Saginaw Valley State and Central Oklahoma.
