Young lawyers collect meals for food bank

The Young Lawyers Section of the State Bar of North Dakota collected a total of 10,548 meals for the Great Plains Food Bank over the course of March 31 to April 10, the state bar announced.

The meal number is based on the formula that 1.2 pounds of food is equivalent to one mean and every dollar earned makes four meals. In total the attorneys collected $1,685 making 6,740 meals and 4,569 pounds of food, making 3,808 meals.

The fundraiser, the largest in the 33 year history, benefits the Great Plains Food Bank. The partner network encompasses 310 charitable programs across the state and in Clay County, Minn.
