Entertainment Inc! presents “Steel Magnolias” today through Monday at the Old Armory Theatre in Williston. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. except Sunday, which is a 2:30 p.m. matinee only. For tickets and reservations, call the box office at 577-3179.
The International Peace Garden will host the International Music Jam May 23-25 in the Interpretive Center building. Visitors are encouraged to bring instruments and join in. On Friday, May 23, at 9 p.m., a meet and greet featuring informal music jam sessions will be held. Saturday and Sunday will include buffets and jam sessions at various times throughout the day. No passports are required for U.S. and Canadian citizens.
The Northern Lights Chamber Music Recital will be held Thursday, May 29, at 7:30 p.m. in Ann Nicole Nelson Hall on the campus of Minot State University. Featured will be members of the Northern Lights String Quartet, David Herzig, John Jermiason and Julianne Boren, with DeVera Bowles’ piano and vocal. The program includes Brahms’ “Piano Quartet in C minor Op.60,” Vaughan Williams’ “Songs for Violin and Voice” and other solo selections. Admission is free.
A “Blue Hawaiian Holiday” will be held on Main Street in downtown Minot on June 6 from 7 p.m. till 12:30 a.m. Homemade Hawaiian food, drinks, party favors, music, entertainment and the outdoor movie “Blue Hawaii” will be featured. Tickets are available at Cookies for You for $30.
The Bottineau County Fair will present a free concert with the Swon Brothers, contestants on Season 4 of “The Voice,” Saturday, June 14, at 7:30 p.m.
