Fargo woman crowned Miss N.D. 2014
WILLISTON – Jacky Arness of Fargo was crowned Miss North Dakota 2014 Saturday in Williston.
Chosen from among 18 contestants, Arness, who is Miss Peace Garden, sang “Feeling Good” for her talent selection during the three-day competition that ended Saturday night. She is the 65th Miss North Dakota, replacing the reigning Miss North Dakota, Laura Harmon of Grand Forks. Arness will go on to compete in the Miss America pageant in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in September.
Other finalists were: Faye Stromberg, Miss West Fargo, first runner-up; Abigail Mattson, Miss Grand Forks, second runner-up; Meagan McDougall, Miss Fargo, third runner-up; and Elizabeth Ryan, Miss Williams County, fourth runner-up. Ryan is from Ray and attends Minot State University.
