Road closures, buses scheduled for fair-goers
Due to high traffic volumes during the North Dakota State Fair, road closures are scheduled for Friday and Saturday, and Thursday, July 24, and Saturday, July 26. On these evenings, 27th Street Southeast/Ward County Road 19 will be closed to southbound traffic from 4 to 8 p.m.
People not attending the State Fair should use the 55th Street bypass as an alternative route. Check in will not be available for State Fair campers from 4 to 8 p.m. on these nights.
Buses will be transporting fair-goers from the J.C. Penney Court of Dakota Square Mall to the fairgrounds and back. Buses will run between 1 p.m. and 1 a.m. on the first Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the fair, and again Thursday through Saturday, July 24-26.
Traffic speed on Burdick Expressway between 18th Street Southeast and 27th Street Southeast will be reduced to 25 mph. Motorists should watch for pedestrians. On Saturday morning, July 19, portions of Broadway and Burdick Expressway will be closed for the State Fair Parade.
