Lila Falcon, 69, Minot, died Friday, July 11, 2014, at Trinity Hospital in Minot.
Lila Frances Marie Falcon was born April 7, 1945, the daughter of John and Marie (Patnaude) Falcon, in Belcourt. She was raised and educated in Belcourt and attended St. Ann’s Catholic School.
She moved to Minot in 1967, where she devoted her entire life to raising her children and grandchildren.
She enjoyed traveling, visiting with family and friends, reading, drawing, writing and drinking her strong coffee.
Surviving family includes: children, Delilah Hatchett, Rockford, Ill., Merlin Falcon, Belcourt, Lonnie Falcon, Grand Forks, Charlie Falcon, Bismarck, Beverly Catlin, Minot, Vanica Thompson, Minot, and Stephen Falcon, Minot; 50 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Arlen, George, Victor, Duane and Keith Falcon; sisters, Sharon Hauser, Joyce King, Sheila Perez, Yvonne Nichols; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lila was preceded in death by: her parents; daughters, Summer Falcon and Elizabeth Falcon; sister, Carol Halvorson; and brother, Johnny Falcon.
Funeral: Friday, July 18, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation: Today, Thursday, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home in Minot.
Vigil Prayer Service: Friday at 10:10 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.
