Traffic stop in Minot leads to arrest of two men
Two men were arrested Friday following a traffic stop in Minot, according to a Minot Police Department press release.
According to the report, a police officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation and found that the driver, Adam Cooke, 32, Max, had a suspended driver’s license through North Dakota and was wanted on a Wells County warrant. Cooke was arrested and during the search police reportedly found methamphetamine and methamphetamine paraphernalia. The passenger in the vehicle, Charles Loughman, 23, New Town, was wanted on a warrant out of Mountrail County, according to the release.
Cooke was arrested for his fourth offense of driving under suspension, a class A misdemeanor, possession of methamhetamine, a class C felony, possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia, a class C felony, and the Wells County warrant.
Cooke and Loughman were both taken to the Ward County Jail.
The traffic stop occurred at 3:29 p.m. Friday in the 1500 block of Second Avenue Northwest.
