Donna Greenlee, 80, from Stanley, went to be with Our Lord on Thursday, July 31, 2014.
Her funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014, at 11 a.m. at American Lutheran Church, Stanley. Visitation is Monday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Springan Funeral Home in Stanley. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Stanley.
Donna Marie (Lien) Greenlee was born Aug. 18, 1933, to Oscar and Olga Lien in McAlmond Township, Mountrail County, North Dakota. She attended school in the Tagus area. She was baptized, confirmed and raised in the Lutheran faith. Donna was a member of American Lutheran Church, Stanley.
Donna married Charles W. Greenlee on Dec. 10, 1951. They lived in Walla Walla, Wash., and Tagus before moving to Stanley in 1960. Charles passed away in March 1981. She worked at Jenson’s Grocery Store, Stanley Community Hospital, the Scenic Restaurant near New Town and was a caregiver for two special Stanley ladies.
She enjoyed playing cards, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Donna is survived by her son, Glenn (Cindy), Tioga, and daughter, Peggy (Jim) Nielsen, Ronan, Mont.; grandchildren, Heather, Holly (Mark), Hope (Brian), Amber, Dennis (Brenda), Nathan (Amanda) and Kristan; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Sydnee and Mason Halvorson, Emerson Midboe and Devon Wittmayer, Alyssa, Angela and Alex Nielsen, James, Shelby and Christopher Nielsen; sisters, Shirley Jeffs, The Villages, Fla., and Diane Schjervheim, Detroit Lakes, Minn.; brothers, Darrel Lien, Forsythe, Ga., and Duane Lien, Polson, Mont.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; sons, Gary and Galen; sisters, Rose and Gert; brother, Orville; and three infant brothers.
