Too much of a good thing? No

Minot is fortunate to have a deep pool of candidates to choose from when key positions open up. In most cases, that is.

And it is certainly evident in the three finalists for executive director of Visit Minot, the city’s convention and visitors bureau.

The finalists are Terri Aldrich, executive director of the Minot Area Council for the Arts since 1999; Phyllis Burckhard, business, sales and marketing director with The OBASA Group and also well known for her civic contributions; and Allan McGeough, executive director of the Mid-Dakota Chapter of the American Red Cross since 2002.

Final interviews are scheduled today. Best of luck to all three candidates and good luck also to the Visit Minot board of directors which has a tough choice to make.
