Win vaults Bosch into lead

Bismarck angler Cory Bosch accomplished two goals at the American Bass Anglers event held Aug. 9 at New Johns Lake. Bosch won the event and moved into first place in the tour’s season standings.

Bosch ruled New Johns with a three-bass limit weighing 11.39 pounds. The catch included the biggest bass of the day, a 4.11-pound smallmouth. Bosch earned $245 for the victory.

Runner-up was Cody Arth of Bismarck with 9.13 pounds. Dick Roland of Crosby was third with 8.24 pounds.

The ABA’s final regular season tournament is scheduled for Aug. 23 at Lake Audubon with the season championship to be decided on Lake Sakakawea Sept. 13-14.
